WHAT IS IT

What is an Open Front Spray Booth?

An open front spray booth is a modular extraction chamber that creates a defined spray zone in your workshop. It draws overspray and fumes through filter media, helping to keep your surrounding workspace cleaner and your operators safer.

Whether you’re spraying automotive parts, woodwork, metalwork or industrial components — a dedicated spray area makes the job easier, cleaner, and more consistent.

Each booth is supplied palletised for delivery and designed for self-assembly on site, making it a practical solution for workshops that want to install a dedicated spray area quickly.

CONFIGURATOR

Configure Yours From Scratch

Every booth is built around your space and your workflow. Choose from the options below and order directly online.

Width

2m / 3m / 4m / 5m / 6m — choose based on your largest workpiece.

Canopy Depth

Open (no canopy) / 1m / 2m / 3m / 4m — deeper canopies improve overspray containment.

Fan Outlet

Top outlet (vertical discharge) or Rear outlet (wall discharge) — choose based on your building layout.

Ducting

Through roof or through wall — keep runs short and straight for best airflow performance.

Noise Control

Compact attenuator, full attenuator, or fan inlet duct — recommended near offices or shared buildings.

Fan Control

Inverter-driven (variable speed) or Direct On Line (fixed speed). Optional electrical isolators and cable kits.

Lighting

Batten lights with reflectors for canopy illumination — ideal for consistent finish quality and colour matching.

Filters & Protection

Standard or high-performance filter media. Optional peelable coating protection for booth surfaces.

HOW TO CHOOSE

Not Sure Where to Start?

  1. Choose the width based on the largest item you spray — leave comfortable room either side to move and apply evenly.
  2. Decide on a canopy if you spray larger parts or higher volumes. Deeper canopies extend the controlled airflow zone.
  3. Plan your duct route — top outlet if you’re going up through a roof space; rear outlet if you can exit straight through an external wall.
  4. Consider noise if you work near offices, neighbours, or shared buildings.
  5. Pick fan control — inverter for variable airflow, DOL for simple fixed-speed operation.
FAQS

Common Questions

An open front spray booth provides a dedicated spraying area with extraction through filters to help capture overspray and direct fumes away from the operator and work area.

Choose a width that comfortably fits your largest workpiece with space to move around it. If you often spray multiple parts at once, consider sizing up.

A canopy isn’t mandatory, but it can improve overspray capture by extending the controlled airflow zone. Larger parts and higher-volume spraying typically benefit from deeper canopies.

Top outlet is often best if your duct will run up and out (e.g. through roof space). Rear outlet is often best if you can exit straight through an external wall with a shorter run.

Filter life depends on paint type and usage. Replace filters when they appear saturated or when airflow performance drops compared to normal operation.

The booth is supplied ready for self-assembly. However, any electrical connections and duct discharge arrangements should be completed safely and in accordance with local regulations and site requirements.

Your booth is delivered palletised with the modular chamber components for the selected width and canopy option, core fixings, and assembly guidance. Optional items (fan, controls, ducting, accessories) are supplied according to your chosen configuration.

Many users do, but requirements vary depending on coating type, site conditions, and regulations. Ensure your setup, discharge route, and safe working practices meet your site’s compliance requirements.
