Description

An Open Front Spray Booth is a modular extraction chamber designed to improve overspray capture, help maintain a cleaner working area, and support safer spraying. It creates a defined spray zone and draws overspray through filter media to help keep the surrounding workspace cleaner. Each booth is supplied palletised for delivery and designed for self-assembly on site, making it a practical solution for workshops that want to install a dedicated spray area quickly.

How to Choose the Right Booth

  1. Choose the width based on the largest item you plan to spray, allowing comfortable space either side to move and spray evenly.
  2. Select a canopy depth if you want improved overspray containment. Deeper canopies generally help when spraying larger parts or higher volumes.
  3. Plan your duct route (top or rear outlet) based on whether your easiest discharge path is through a wall or roof.
  4. Consider noise control if you operate near offices, neighbours, or in shared buildings.
  5. Pick fan control: inverter control for adjustable airflow, or DOL for simple fixed-speed operation.

Delivery & Self-Assembly

  • Delivered on pallets, ready for offload
  • Self-assembly modular design
  • We recommend suitable handling equipment (e.g., pallet truck or forklift) to position pallets safely

If your installation includes electrical connection and/or external duct discharge, ensure all work is completed safely by competent accredited persons in accordance with local regulations and site requirements.

Configurable Options

Booth width

Select the working width that suits the parts you spray and how you like to work:

  • 2m
  • 3m
  • 4m
  • 5m
  • 6m
Canopy depth

Canopies extend the controlled airflow zone and can improve overspray containment. Choose:

  • Open (No Canopy)
  • 1m canopy
  • 2m canopy
  • 3m canopy
  • 4m canopy
Lights for canopy
Batten lights with reflectorsAdd canopy lighting to illuminate the spray area and improve visibility when coating parts. Recommended where consistent finish quality and colour matching are important.
Extract fan mounting configuration
Top outletTop outlet — best where ducting will run upwards (e.g., into roof space) for a clean vertical discharge route.
Rear outletRear outlet — best where you can discharge straight through an external wall with a short duct run.
Extract ducting configuration

Choose a ducting route to suit your building layout. Keeping duct runs short and straight helps maintain airflow.

Duct through roof (top outlet)Duct through roof (top outlet) — suitable when you want to route ducting up and out.
Duct through wall (rear outlet)Duct through wall (rear outlet) — suitable for direct wall discharge where rear outlet is selected.
Noise reduction
Compact attenuatorCompact attenuator — reduces noise where space is limited.
Compact attenuatorAttenuator — for greater noise reduction on longer duct runs or higher airflow installations (where offered).
Compact attenuatorFan inlet duct — can help reduce inlet noise and support neat connection to the fan (where offered).
Fan control / electrical
  • Inverter-driven control — variable speed adjustment for fine-tuning airflow
  • Direct On Line (DOL) — simple fixed-speed operation
  • Optional electrical isolators / cable kits (where offered)
Filters & protection

Select filter media and protection options based on your usage and coatings:

  • Standard filter media
  • High-performance filter media (where offered)
  • Optional peelable coating protection (where offered)

FAQs

What is an open front spray booth used for?
An open front spray booth provides a dedicated spraying area with extraction through filters to help capture overspray and direct fumes away from the operator and work area.
Which width should I choose?
Choose a width that comfortably fits your largest workpiece with space to move around it. If you often spray multiple parts at once, consider sizing up.
Do I need a canopy?
A canopy isn’t mandatory, but it can improve overspray capture by extending the controlled airflow zone. Larger parts and higher-volume spraying typically benefit from deeper canopies.
Top outlet or rear outlet — which is best?
Top outlet is often best if your duct will run up and out (e.g., through roof space). Rear outlet is often best if you can exit straight through an external wall with a shorter run.
How often do the filters need replacing?
Filter life depends on paint type and usage. Replace filters when they appear saturated or when airflow performance drops compared to normal operation.
Is professional installation required?
The booth is supplied ready for self-assembly. However, any electrical connections and duct discharge arrangements should be completed safely and in accordance with local regulations and site requirements.
What arrives on the pallet?
Your booth is delivered palletised with the modular chamber components for the selected width/canopy option, core fixings, and assembly guidance. Optional items (fan/controls/ducting/accessories) are supplied according to your chosen configuration.
Can I use solvent-based coatings?
Many users do, but requirements vary depending on coating type, site conditions, and regulations. Ensure your setup, discharge route, and safe working practices meet your site’s compliance requirements.
